SUMMARY:THE NUTCRACKER
DESCRIPTION:Dear spectators\, \nAccording to the decision of National Committee for Emergency Situations\, all the performances are allowed only in accordance with the legal regulations in force that is\, the following conditions: \n\npublic participation is allowed up to 50% of the performance hall capacity;\nevery spectator has to present the official QR Code of their SARS-CoV-2 certificate (digital or on paper)\, proving that they have been fully vaccinated or tested;\nevery spectator has to present the proof that he is between 15 and 180 days after the confirmation of contacting the SARS-CoV-2 virus.\n\nEveryone participating the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca events\, has to present their SARS-CoV-2 certificate (digital or on paper) through the official digital certificate approved by the European Union\, according to the provisions of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 68/2021 on the adoption of measures for the implementation of the European framework for the issuance verification and acceptance of the digital certificate COVID-19 of the European Union. \nBe aware that every official certificate has to be accompanied by an identity document. \nAll of the above doesn’t apply to children below 12 years old. \nThank you for your understanding! \n\nBallet performance coproduced by The Romanian National in Cluj-Napoca and Rotary Club Cluj-Napoca.\n \nBallet extravaganza in two acts on a libretto by Marius Petipa\, inspired by E. T. A. Hoffmann’s homonym short story \nP. I. Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet stole the hearts and arose the imagination of spectators of all ages\, from the entire world\, after it premiered at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre from Sankt Petersburg\, on 6 December 1892. What better present could the composer have offered to children all over the world\, than a lyric tradition that continues to this day to herald winter holidays\, with enthusiasm and on delightful scores. \nSuccessfully transposed throughout years as ballet on ice\, motion picture\, cartoon or illustrated book\, the magic ballet in two acts slides elegantly on the Russian composer’s score\, based on Alexandre Dumas’ homonym fairy tale. \nThe winter tale places us in the festive atmosphere of the Silberhaus family’s saloon\, where all the close ones enjoy the Christmas tree festivity. Little Maria and her brother Fritz raid into the presents\, the most precious of all being\, by far\, the stately Nutcracker. From here to entering into the magic land of fairies\, giants and puppets who sing joyfully The Waltz of the Snowflakes\, there is but one step… \nWe are looking forward to seeing you step together in the crystalline lyric globe\, and discover the story! \nThe performance has one break and ends around 8.30 p.m.\nRecommended age: 3+
