Our distinguished moderator is Sever Voinescu\, a remarkable presence in the Romanian cultural scene. Alongside him\, we have the honor of welcoming a special guest of exceptional caliber\, Maestro Ioan Holender\, a prominent figure in the artistic world. \nIoan Holender rose from a challenging background to become one of the prominent figures in the opera world\, his life marked by historical events and radical changes. Later becoming a respected manager and artistic impresario\, Ioan Holender successfully led the “Starka” Theater Agency\, later known as the “Holender Artistic Impresario Agency.” Through his fame in the international music world\, he attracted the attention of the Vienna State Opera\, where in 1992 he became general director\, consolidating his reputation as one of the longest-serving and respected directors of this prestigious institution. Ioan Holender left his mark on the history of the Vienna Opera\, maintaining and enhancing the institution’s prestige. He became president and artistic director of the “George Enescu International Festival” starting in 2003\, significantly contributing to the promotion of musical art and the talents of young Romanians internationally. \nSever Voinescu is a journalist\, essayist\, and diplomat with a diverse and rich career in law and international relations. Since 2016\, Sever Voinescu has held the position of editor-in-chief of Dilema Veche magazine\, contributing to the debate and analysis of social and cultural issues in the Romanian public sphere. With a career spanning fields such as law\, diplomacy\, journalism\, and public policy research\, Sever Voinescu remains a respected and influential voice in Romania’s intellectual and cultural landscape. \nWe invite you to join us for a memorable evening\, full of emotion and refinement.
