DESCRIPTION:Cluj Chamber Music Festival\, now in its 4th edition\, proposes a new perspective on chamber music — an open space where tradition and experimentation coexist. The programme moves across styles and eras\, from Renaissance polyphony to jazz and crossover projects\, bringing together international artists\, established musicians\, and emerging performers. Set within a network of unconventional venues — from churches to inner courtyards and alternative spaces — the festival creates connections and invites audiences to rediscover chamber music beyond conventional frameworks. \nThe concert Chamber Resonance brings to the forefront students of the Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music\, this time from the instrumental department\, performing in a variety of chamber ensembles. It is a programme that emphasizes the collective construction of musical discourse and the direct relationship between performers\, beyond the soloistic or orchestral framework. \nThe proposed programme spans works from the universal repertoire\, offering a space of exploration for ensembles in formation. Beyond stylistic diversity\, the concert becomes a form of artistic self-definition — a moment in which young musicians shape their voice\, test their ensemble balance\, and assert their presence on stage. \nWe invite you on Tuesday\, May 12\, at 7:00 PM\, to the Studio Hall of the Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music to discover the energy and artistic directions of a new generation of musicians. \nCluj Chamber Music Festival – 4th edition – does not propose a formula. The programme moves across styles and eras\, from Renaissance polyphony to jazz and crossover projects\, bringing together international artists\, established musicians\, and emerging performers. Set within a network of unconventional venues — from churches to inner courtyards and alternative spaces — the festival creates connections and invites audiences to rediscover chamber music beyond conventional frameworks. \nThe concert Moonlight Strings: A Night with Brahms\, Puccini & Rachmaninoff brings to the stage artists of the Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca Orchestra\, in a setting different from the one audiences are most familiar with. While they are usually heard within the symphonic framework\, here they appear in a chamber music context\, where each musical voice gains direct exposure and dialogue becomes essential. \nThe programme is structured in two distinct formations — string quartet and piano trio — and brings together representative works of the Romantic repertoire. The quartet\, formed by Vlad Baciu\, Silvana Ghermet\, Flaviu Ignat\, and Vlad Rațiu\, performs Crisantemi by Giacomo Puccini and the String Quartet No. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff. The trio\, featuring Cadmiel Boțac (piano)\, Diana Man (violin)\, and Vlad Rațiu (cello)\, brings to the fore the Piano Trio No. 1 in B major\, Op. 8 by Johannes Brahms. \nBeyond the repertoire itself\, the concert proposes a shift in perspective: musicians accustomed to the sonic breadth of the orchestra are placed in an intimate setting\, where precision\, shared breathing\, and subtlety become essential. \nWe invite you on Tuesday\, May 12\, at 8:00 PM\, to the Casa NUMAA to discover Opera musicians in a different\, more intimate and personal light. \nCluj Chamber Music Festival – 4th edition – does not propose a formula.
