DESCRIPTION:OPERA APERTA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2026 \n“Dance for Me”\, the new production by Granada Flamenco Ballet\, invites audiences into an intense\, passionate and deeply sensory experience of dance and music. At its core lie emotion\, tension\, rhythm and the powerful expressive force of flamenco culture. \nInspired by the creative traditions of Granada\, one of the most fascinating cities in Spain\, the performance brings to the stage cultural\, historical and musical influences that define the spirit of Andalusia. The poetic universe of Federico García Lorca\, the music of Manuel de Falla\, and the authentic energy of the renowned Zambra gitana come together in a vibrant production celebrating the roots of flamenco. \nThe choreography bears the signature of several renowned choreographers. Among them is Patricia Guerrero\, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Spanish dance and recipient of Spain’s National Dance Award\, alongside masters Javier Martos\, Mariano Bernal\, and Raimundo Benítez. The result is a performance of remarkable visual and emotional power\, in which dancers and musicians together create a sequence of moments that are at once dramatic\, intimate and electrifying. \n“Dance for Me” moves through multiple expressive registers—from the passion and dramatic intensity inspired by Lorca\, to the musical richness of Manuel de Falla’s works\, and finally to the explosive energy and communal spirit of the Zambra gitana sections. Each moment introduces a new atmosphere\, a different vibration\, another way of experiencing dance.
