SUMMARY:Boundless Beauty: The Grace of Chinese Classical Dance
DESCRIPTION:On 29 June 2026\, at 7:30 p.m.\, the performance Boundless Beauty: The Grace of Chinese Classical Dance\, presented by Beijing Dance Academy in partnership with the Confucius Institute and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Romania\, will take place on the stage of the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca\, on the occasion of the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations. \nRegarded as one of China’s leading institutions for choreographic training\, Beijing Dance Academy brings to Cluj-Napoca a selection of representative works from Chinese classical dance\, brought together in a programme that spans different eras\, symbols and expressive forms. The performance offers an insight into the aesthetic refinement of Chinese culture\, from the splendour of the Tang Dynasty and the free spirit of the Wei and Jin periods to visual evocations inspired by calligraphy\, poetry\, ink painting\, fans\, nature and historical mythology. \nThrough works such as Harmonious Melody of Tang Rhyme\, Imprints of Tang Dynasty\, Wild Cursive\, Emperor Qin Reviews Soldiers\, Ta Ge\, Fan Dance\, Ink Wash and The Fourth Movement of The Yellow River\, the artists of Beijing Dance Academy explore the relationship between tradition and contemporary expression\, between codified gesture and vivid stage energy. The programme highlights the elegance\, precision and strength of Chinese classical dance\, offering audiences a broad perspective on an art form in which movement becomes a bearer of cultural memory\, poetic sensitivity and artistic identity. \nThe event is part of the spirit of intercultural dialogue and brings before the Cluj audience a performance of exceptional artistic distinction\, dedicated to the beauty\, diversity and continuity of the great artistic traditions of the world. \nThe performance includes an interval and will end at approximately 8:30 p.m. \nRecommended age: 7+
