INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OPERA APERTA 2025

In the heart of the night and the city, Cluj pulses with tango rhythms! Cluj Tango Night transforms the Iulius Mall Atrium into a South American stage, where passion, intensity, and elegance blend in a unique musical and choreographic performance.

Extraordinary instrumentalists come together: Elena Ghemeș (cello – Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca), Irina Indrei (piano – Sigismund Toduță Music College), Emanuel Elcean (double bass – Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy), and Robert Indrei, a virtuoso of the bandoneón – the emblematic instrument of tango.

Joining them are two electrifying soloists: Iulia Merca, mezzo-soprano of the Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca, whose voice carries the longing and fire of tango, and Claudiu Hontilă, violinist of the Transylvania State Philharmonic, whose intense phrasing breathes life into every dramatic moment.
