OPERA APERTA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2026
On Thursday, 25 June, at 6:30 PM, the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca launches GALLERY OF VOICES, a new series of chamber recitals, at the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, in Reduta Hall. The first event of this series is included in the programme of the International Opera Aperta Festival 2026.
The recital brings before the audience soprano Carmen Gurban and tenor Hector Lopez, accompanied at the piano by Lelia Serafinceanu. The programme will include a selection of works from the lyrical repertoire, presented in a chamber format that emphasises the closeness between artists, music, and audience.
Through this series, the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca proposes a new setting for the encounter with the lyrical repertoire outside the traditional opera house. Reduta Hall, a space of significant historical and cultural importance, thus becomes the venue for recitals centred on the voice, direct musical expression, and the dialogue between heritage and contemporary artistic practice.
GALLERY OF VOICES opens a new direction of collaboration between the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca and the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, through a programme that will continue, in the coming period, with several recitals dedicated to the vocal repertoire.
The event has no interval and is expected to end around 7:45 PM.
Recommended age: 7+
Tickets are available on the bilete.ro platform.
The International Opera Aperta Festival is organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, the Cluj-Napoca Local Council, the Cluj County Council, and the “Opera 2 You” Association.
