OPERA APERTA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2026
Now in its sixth edition, the OPERA APERTA National Symposium once again brings together researchers, artists, musicologists, and professionals from the field of performing arts, in a setting dedicated to reflection and the exchange of ideas.
The scientific paper session proposes a multidisciplinary exploration of the operatic phenomenon in the contemporary context, with topics ranging from new directions in opera directing and innovation in music education to the intersections between music, technology, and society.
Organised in partnership with the “Gheorghe Dima” National Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, the symposium provides an essential platform for academic dialogue, complementing the festival programme with a substantial dimension of cultural analysis and reflection.
The International Opera Aperta Festival is organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, the Cluj-Napoca Local Council, the Cluj County Council, and the “Opera 2 You” Association.
