Show organised within the Opera Aperta Festival 2021, supported by the City Hall and the Local Council of Cluj-Napoca and Visit Cluj.

As part of the group of personalities of her generation, Ruxandra Donose has gained acclaim in opera houses and concert halls around the world. Associated especially with the Mozartian and French lyrical repertoire, she has in recent years moved to the German dramatic repertoire, enjoying huge success, performing roles such as: Kundry from Parsifal, in concert with Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic, or Elektra from Orest by Manfred Trojahn. Currently, the mezzo-soprano collaborates with the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Oslo Philharmonic, being invited to appear with the London Philharmonic and Vladimir Jurowski in the role of Sieglinde in Wagner’s opera Die Walküre at the Royal Festival Hall.

Celebrating 30 years of artistic activity, the famous Romanian mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose celebrates this unique moment of her artistic career through a series of anniversary galas held in cities across the country, involving beloved works from the international operatic repertoire, various areas from works such as Farnace by Antonio Vivaldi, Tancredi by Gioachino Rossini, Adriana Lecouvreur by Francesco Cilea, Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns and Carmen by Georges Bizet.

We have the chance to meet an artist who has the desire to offer us the overflow of an experience of 30 years of continuous presence on the biggest stages of opera houses around the world.
