The Orchestra of The Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca

description

show category: ballet, Premiere

Unbridled passion, fiery love and death. Keywords for the ultimate tragedy: Romeo and Juliet.

In a world where the most precious things were wealth, fame and the destruction of enemies, young lovers dreamed of life and love… Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet, inspired by the themes of William Shakespeare’s immortal tragedy, is undoubtedly one of the most popular examples of its kind in the 20th century.

Choreographer Valentina Turcu’s staging offers a vision of a bold, sensual and brutal era, when matters of life and death were often dealt with irrationally and in an atmosphere inflamed by passion.

We invite you to enter the picture of the most famous love story, in the newest production of the Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca!

The show has one intermission and ends around 8:30 p.m.

Recommended age: 10+
