In the second edition of the Cluj Chamber Music Festival, we invite you to join a captivating musical journey, where love illuminates the darkness through a recital of Schumann’s lieder and interwar German songs.

Marius Vlad Budoiu, a tenor with profound and expressive interpretation, accompanied by the talented pianist Larisa Pentea, will present to the audience a series of remarkable songs from the repertoire of Robert Schumann, including the famous Liederkreis on poems by Joseph von Eichendorff. After this journey into Schumann’s world, the recital will continue with a series of interwar songs, highlighting works by composers such as Robert Stolz, Emmerich Kálmán, and Ralph Benatzky. Among these are Two Hearts in Three-Quarter Time, Come, Lute Player!, I Kiss Your Hand, Madame… and many others.

With sensitivity and passion, these artists aim to convey the emotion and depth of each song in a captivating and authentic way. Join us for an evening of classical and interwar music in an intimate and refined setting at the Cluj Chamber Music Festival!
