The Stradivarius International Tour, now in its 18th edition, presents Music, Attitude, Values, and, above all, a spirit of openness and closeness to both its traditional audience and the younger, less experienced public.
Each year, violinist Alexandru TOMESCU, the leader of this project, brings the sound of the finest music to every region of the country, accompanied by the Stradivarius Elder-Voicu Violin — a National Heritage Treasure — along with the most beautiful stories, especially for young people and children. He believes in long-term commitments, in encounters that stand the test of time and grow in true value, just like music. His mission is “to promote high-quality music”, to connect us to music, emotion, and storytelling.
The tour will take place between June 10 and July 12, 2025, featuring 22 concerts across the country over nearly a month.
Alexandru Tomescu and his Stradivarius Elder-Voicu violin — together with the acclaimed and talented classical guitarist Dragoș Ilie — present the audience with a unique and original program that connects people from diverse cultures and promotes a shared emotional experience, through a transcription for violin and classical guitar of some of the most renowned and treasured works: George Enescu’s Rhapsodies, marking 70 years since his death, and George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
The event has no intermission and will conclude around 8:00 PM.
