Cluj Chamber Music Festival, now in its 4th edition, proposes a new perspective on chamber music — an open space where tradition and experimentation coexist. The programme moves across styles and eras, from Renaissance polyphony to jazz and crossover projects, bringing together international artists, established musicians, and emerging performers. Set within a network of unconventional venues — from churches to inner courtyards and alternative spaces — the festival creates connections and invites audiences to rediscover chamber music beyond conventional frameworks.
The concert NATURE proposes a sonic experience built around timbre and the fusion between instruments, in an original programme by Manuel Petti. Inspired by the phenomena, colours, and energies of nature, the concert unfolds as a musical journey in which each work evokes a space, a state, or a sonic landscape.
At the centre of this universe stands the accordion, with its distinctive and versatile timbre, capable of traversing different stylistic registers and creating bridges between classical music, jazz, and folk influences. Alongside a string quintet, bassoon, and percussion, it does not assert itself as a solo instrument in the traditional sense, but rather integrates into a collective discourse in which all instruments merge into a single, coherent, and organic sonic flow.
About Manuel Petti
Manuel Petti — accordionist, composer, and arranger — is a musician with a complex artistic trajectory, active in crossover projects and international collaborations. His music reflects a wide stylistic openness, where elements of jazz, classical music, and diverse musical traditions blend into a personal and distinctive language.
We invite you on Saturday, May 16, at 7:00 PM, to the Heritage Hall (Sala Heritage) for a concert in which timbre becomes the central element of expression, and music transforms into a fluid, ever-evolving space.
Cluj Chamber Music Festival – 4th edition – does not propose a formula. It proposes a state of mind.
A festival that does not tell you how to listen to chamber music, but invites you to rediscover it.
