Musical in two acts after the theatre play “Pygmalion” by George Bernard Shaw, on the music of Frederick Loewe

Dear spectators,

Given the fact that the cumulative incidence in the last 14 days of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection cases in Cluj-Napoca has exceeded the threshold of 3 / 1,000, all performances will be held with public participation up to 50 % of maximum room capacity and only for:

• persons who test negative for an RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection not older than 72 hours or a certified negative result for a rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection not older than 48 hours,
• people in the period between the 15th and 180th day after confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.

According to the laws in force, everybody participant is obligated to prove these situations by means of the digital certificates of the European Union regarding COVID-19, in accordance with the provisions of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 68/2021 on the adoption of measures for the implementation of the European framework for the issuance, verification and acceptance of the digital certificate COVID-19 of the European Union.

ATTENTION! The green certificate will be accompanied by an identity document.

The obligation to test negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection applies to persons older than 6 years of age.

Presented for the first time on Broadway, in 1956, My Fair Lady tells the story of Eliza Doolittle – a poor simple flower girl from the streets of London, and Henry Higgins – an acclaimed linguistic Professor, and expert in the art of phonetics, dared by his friend, Colonel Pickering, in a bet that he will succeed in presenting Eliza to the Embassy Ball as an elegant high society lady. This is how Eliza’s unbelievable, yet extremely humorous transformation begins, while being “polished up” in high rank.

The memorable melodies of this beloved musical have been the standing points of the movie produced in 1964 under the same name, proud winner of eight Oscars, staring the one and only Audrey Hepburn and charming Rex Harrison.

Recommended age: 5+

The show is performed in Romanian, has a break and ends around 22:30
